Supporting Essential Workers & Industries
Advanced Thermal Solutions has been identified by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as part of the “Essential Critical Infrastructure Workforce.” We support and maintain mission critical infrastructure for several key industries including healthcare facilities, data centers, and state & federal departments. Please know that we are open for business and will continue to support our customers to the best of our ability while following all health and safety guidelines to protect our staff and our customers.
It is clear is that we need to keep all critical facilities up and running and that means being available for any of your HVAC equipment needs and continuing to maintain the equipment you already have.
In addition, should your facility be tagged as a testing or care facility outside of its normal function, please reach out to ATS for engineering and implementation of your HVAC & air distribution strategy whether it involves the use of tents or your existing infrastructure. ATS is familiar with the unique requirements at hand.
Thank you for your trust in ATS as we navigate this period of uncertainty together.

HDT’s lines of expeditionary shelter systems are designed to meet a variety of user applications ranging from personnel billeting, tactical operation centers, equipment warehousing, vehicle maintenance, emergency medical/hospital requirements and more. HDT designs, engineers and manufactures AirBeam, Base-X and DRASH branded shelter systems. HDT designs and manufactures expeditionary shelter structures and completely-configurated base camps that are designed to work seamlessly with HDT power generation, heating and cooling, and protective air filtration systems to make them functional and safe.
Medical & Emergency Operations
HDT Base-X® shelter systems are ideal for military and emergency medical applications in any environment.
· Medical shelter systems are rapid-deploying, mobile facilities with complete infrastructure/inventory for stabilization and treatment of patients
· Integral liners (with floor) provide a clean environment for medical operations. A pre-installed electrical system and air distribution plenum are standard.
· HDT’s Emergency Medical Treatment and Triage System (E-MTTS) is a rapid-deploying, mobile facility with complete infrastructure/inventory for stabilization and treatment-in-place of patients during mass-gathering incidents.
· Three configurations for surge-capacity patients (12 bed, 25 bed hub and spoke and 25 bed square) are available. These freestanding units are designed for quick set-up and can be augmented with medical equipment and supply sets to provide a total turnkey solution for mobile medical needs.
· Options for rapid, organized response to any critical medical situation include alternate care sites used during a mass casualty event and/or drive-thru distribution systems for use during a pandemic to hospital surge facilities.
· Medical Surge – Rapid-deploying, mobile facilities with complete infrastructure and inventory for responding to a medical surge, incident deployment, isolation or mass gathering. A variety of sizes are offered and medical supplies and equipment are customized to meet your specific needs.
· Drive Thru Systems – HDT’s Drive-Thru Clinic System offers an extremely versatile mode of providing services or conducting checkpoints during any type of emergency situation from a mass casualty event to a pandemic.
· Mobile Hospitals – HDT can provide complete stand-alone mobile hospitals customized for 12 to 100 beds or more. Every medical shelter can be stocked with equipment and medical supplies to meet your specific requirement.
Condair Humidifiers
Condair studies shows that indoor humidification can reduce the transmission and risk of infection from Coronavirus. Maintaining indoor humidity at 40-60%RH plays a critical role in keeping occupants safe. All facilities should implement humidification to help combat COVID-19.
Everyone releases tiny water droplets, called aerosols, when they breath, talk, cough or sneeze. The microscopic droplets are composed of around 97% water and 3% solutes - salts, proteins and numerous other substances.

American Ultraviolet - UV Lighting
COVID-19 is an enveloped virus with a single positive-stranded RNA genome. Coronaviruses have an envelope composed of a lipid bilayer, proteins, and sugars with a protein capsid. At this point American Ultraviolet does not believe that any testing of this particular strain has been performed. However, several coronaviruses similar in construction have been found to be susceptible to UVC energy.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), "Coronaviruses (CoV) are a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV). COVID-19 is a novel coronavirus, and a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans."
Currently similar coronaviruses are the basis for understanding how COVID-19 is spread. The main vector of transmission from person to person appears to be from close contact (within 6 feet) via respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. SARS, MERS, and H1N1 are all coronaviruses that have similar vectors of transmission. The transmission through touching surfaces, and touching the eyes, mouth, or nose is also contributing to the spread of the virus.

Dynamic Air Filters
Air Filtration & COVID-19 Facts:
COVID-19 is dangerous because it spreads readily, and humans have no immunity to it. That is what makes it special/unique/unprecedented: its interaction with people. In terms of its interaction with the external world and things like filters, UVC, and disinfectants, it is totally run of the mill. So given the chance, MERV 13+ filtration will catch it; 254nm UVC, bleach, alcohol, etc. will inactivate it, and it will die by itself on a surface over time. And, like other viruses, there are multiple paths to infection.
The virus itself is relatively small, ~0.15micron range. But it is coughed, sneezed, exhaled as part of a larger 0.6 to 10+ micron droplet nuclei. The larger of these will fall quickly and that is why the focus on 6 feet of separation. However, the smaller can remain suspended and be entrained into HVAC systems.
Focusing on filtration and UVGI, from page 10 of the attached ASHRAE Position Document: “The addition of highly efficient particle filtration to the central ventilation systems is likely to reduce the airborne load of infectious particles. This control strategy can reduce the transport of infectious agents within individual areas and from one area to another when these areas share the same central ventilation system.
- Local, efficient filtration units reduce local airborne loads and may serve purposes in specific areas such as health-care facilities or high traffic public occupancies.
- UVGI strategies for general application: (1) installation into air handlers and/ or ventilating ducts.
- In both duct-mounted and unoccupied in-room UVGI, the amount of radiation applied can be much higher compared to what can be used for upper-zone UVGI, resulting in higher aerosol exposure and quicker inactivation. Duct-mounted UVGI can be compared to filtration in the central ventilation system, because it inactivates the potentially infectious organisms while filtration removes them.
- UVGI does not impose a pressure drop burden on the ventilation system.”
How can we help? Dynamic has been designing and manufacturing air cleaning systems for over 35 years. We make high-efficiency filtration systems with low pressure drop—allowing for retrofit into air handlers that might not have the fan horsepower for high-efficiency passive filters. We also make germicidal UVC systems, that irradiate both the airstream and a translucent capture media. Both systems have been used for decades in high-impact medical, laboratory, and pharmaceutical applications, as well as situations like the anthrax clean-ups. We are committed to doing everything we can to help fight this pandemic.
